EBSCO off-campus access instructions

From OneSearch: EBSCO is not accessible through OneSearch. Please use the above green link (EBSO Database Search) to access EBSCO materials that are in OneSearch results. 

From your email: if you've emailed material to yourself, click on the persistent link (or Permalink), and sign in using the instructions below.

Search EBSCO directly: Use the green link above (EBSCO Database Search) to search all the EBSCO databases, and follow the sign-in and search instructions below.

EBSCO Sign-In Instructions

1. Click on the EBSCO Database Search button (above) - or - click the persistent link or permalink to the article you're emailed to yourself - or - from OneSearch, click EBSCO under Full Text Availability.
2. When asked for the institution, type in San Bernardino Valley College.
3. Sign in with the username and password (above).
4. Choose All Databases or select your preferred databases.
5. Click Continue.
6. Enter keywords in the search box at the top.
7. Hit Enter or click Search.
8. On the results page, use the left-hand menu to filter your results.

Keyword Search Tips

• Check your assignment and readings for terms related to your research assignment.
• Use AND between search terms to include all the terms. This will retrieve fewer but focused results: voting AND teens.
• Use OR between search terms to include any of the terms or alternative terms. This will retrieve more and broader results. Use parentheses around the OR words: voting AND (teens OR adolescents).
• Use NOT to exclude a term: voting AND teens NOT adults.
• Use quotation marks to search for an exact phrase: "voter rights".
• Use an asterisk at the end of a root term to search for different endings: nurs* will retrieve nurse, nurses, and nursing.
• Try Advanced Search (at the top of the search).

• Publication Date
• Source Types
• Check other filters
